Joe Scarborough abruptly ended a discussion when Lauren Boebert’s name was mentioned on his MSNBC talk show Wednesday.
The show, which has been struggling lately following Scarborough and wife/co-host Mika Brzezinski’s meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump, discussed House Republicans’ desire to help their colleagues in the to be seen in prison.
Initially, Brzezinski brought up James Comer – a key ally of Elon Musk’s new DOGE department – and Tim Burchett suggested this.
However, when she addressed Lauren Boebert’s comments on the matter, Brzezinski was quickly stopped by Scarborough.
“Okay, okay, I don’t care,” the co-host said with an audible groan before making a crude reference to Boebert’s personal life.
“Go to a play,” he added, before attempting to segue into an argument with Democrat Congressman Dan Goldman.
Scarborough made light of Boebert’s exclusion from a performance of Beetlejuice: The Musical in Denver for lewd behavior.
Brzezinski had planned to quote Boebert saying of the Democrats, “It doesn’t look good for them. You know, they’re asking for their preemptive pardon. So it sounds suspicious and guilty. I think anyone who politically imprisoned American citizens and completely destroyed their lives should be investigated.”

The show, which has been struggling lately following Scarborough and wife/co-host Mika Brzezinski’s meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump, discussed House Republicans’ desire to jail their colleagues sitting there.
The husband and wife have been embroiled in a lot of drama after visiting newly elected President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate, which infuriated their viewers.
Scarborough added fuel to the fire when he went on a 20-minute rant last week in response to critics who said he “feared” Trump.
During the 2024 election, Morning Joe hosts repeatedly labeled Trump a fascist, racist and sexist and argued that he should not be president.
Things came to a boil earlier this year after Scarborough compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, with their visit sparking anger among their liberal viewers and show staff.
Speaking of visiting for the first time The Daily Beast Podcast with hosts, Brzezinski said they met with Trump because people were “really scared.”
“The way I look at it is that people are really scared, that’s one of the reasons we went there. People are really afraid of Trump’s comments about political opponents. A lot of people are scared because of what happened with abortion.”
But on November 18, they revealed on their show that they met Trump in Florida over the weekend.
Brzezinski said at the time that they decided to reach out to Trump for “the opportunity to speak with the president-elect himself” because their viewers have expressed fear following Trump’s election.

But their move was harshly criticized, with them defending the move ever since.
“People who are anxious and worried, let me tell you something, we shouldn’t be afraid,” Scarborough declared during his 20-minute rant on Thursday.
“We should be deeply, deeply concerned about constitutional norms,” he added.
Scarborough said they should do everything they can to encourage Republican senators to “hold the line against nominees who would destroy the Pentagon, who would destroy the intelligence community.”
He argued that they should “keep fighting” and “have no fear, show no fear.”
But he argued that if we reach a state in media culture where civility is confused with fear, “then we’re in trouble.”
Scarborough claimed he was fed up with the ‘nonsense’ and wished they could just ‘get on with it’.
Brzezinski reiterated that their meeting with Trump was “not kissing the ring,” but a serious meeting and that they were doing their job.
