Mentalist star Simon Baker is said to be “not nice” to work with, according to an actor who briefly starred on the show with the Australian actor.

Jeff opened up about working with the Devil Wears Prada star when his co-host David Chen started talking about Simon’s 2023 film Limbo.
“The biggest thing about (Limbo) is that it stars Simon Baker who, for those who don’t know, played The Mentalist on the CBS drama that aired from 2008 to 2015,” David said.
Then Jeff chimed in and said, ‘You mean my co-star on The Mentalist? I did an episode of The Mentalist. I traveled with him in a van.
‘Was Jeff nice?’ -David asked.
Jeff could then be heard taking a deep breath as he carefully considered his next words, before finally saying: “I wouldn’t use that word.”

Simon played former ‘psychic’ Patrick Jane in the series from 2008 to 2015, with his character acting as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Patrick worked with Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) to help solve crimes using his highly developed observation skills.
The Mentalist concluded its seventh and final season in early 2015 after CBS canceled the popular crime drama.
The show’s demise had been widely speculated at the time, and CBS officially confirmed its end in 2014 with an abbreviated 13-episode season.
Since the series ended, Simon has kept a low profile, rarely seen on Hollywood’s big screens after becoming picky about the projects he works on.
He said CBS LA in 2022 that after landing such a coveted role in The Mentalist and earning millions, he is now “not as hungry for work.”
Simon recently starred in the hit Boy Swallows Universe and, according to his IMDB, has another movie and TV show in post-production.
