Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were convinced Maya Jama swore live on the ITV show.

The Love Island presenter, 29, appeared as the latest star guest host on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

And several times during her appearance, Maya had to announce the end of the show, which was a performance by the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang On Tour, a new production of the beloved family favorite.

At one point, Maya said: ‘The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gang… oh my! They’re here for the End Of The Show, see you after the break.’

However, it sounded like Maya swore, and before going to a commercial break, she pointed at the camera and exclaimed, “That was close!”

After the on-air blooper, one fan wrote on social media platform X: ‘Why can’t Maya say Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?’;

‘Maya Jama trying not to say Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every five minutes’;

‘Maya just says Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every time’

Maya looked amazing in a fitted white vest with high-waisted skinny black pants and a thick black belt.

She finished her look with a sleek ponytail and red lip and swayed behind the audience, making sure she had a Love Island water bottle by her side.

Saturday’s Takeaway was the fourth episode of the variety show’s twentieth series, the last series before it goes on hiatus.

Earlier in the day, Maya invited more than three million Instagram followers to take a look behind celebrity hairstylist Patrick Wilson.

In February, Ant and Dec revealed that Takeaway will be taking a hiatus so they can focus more on family time, before Ant welcomes his first child.

Ant will become a father in June as his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, is pregnant. Anne-Marie has two children from her previous marriage.

Speaking to Fault Magazine, Ant said: ‘On a more personal level, part of the reason we’re putting Takeaway on hiatus is that we need a break and we need to spend some time with our family.
