Samantha Armytage is understood to have split from her husband Richard Lavender, just four years into their marriage.
Armytage and Lavender were married on their 40-hectare property in the picturesque Southern Highlands of New South Wales on New Year’s Eve 2020.
The couple’s split was planned to be leaked to a Sydney newspaper on Friday, but sources confirmed the news to Daily Mail Australia in advance.
Armytage’s TV presenter friends are believed to have been comforting her behind the scenes for some time.
The equestrian businessman’s two daughters, Sascha and Grace, 61, no longer follow Armytage on Instagram, although the former couple still follows each other.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Samantha for comment.

She captioned the touching image, which was taken after their wedding ceremony but before the reception, at 11:58 a.m. on a Thursday. How lucky are we?
Armytage looked stunning on her special day in a long-sleeved white dress with a matching ribbon in her hair.
She opted for minimal makeup, highlighting her eyes with a swipe of brown shadow and adding a touch of bronzer to her already sun-kissed skin.
Sam also posted a photo from later that night, which showed her and Richard hugging alongside the words: “HNY from the Lavs.”
This title hints that she may be taking her husband’s last name.
Sam and the millionaire businessman, 61, married on Thursday at their 40-hectare property in the picturesque Southern Highlands.
The couple married at their home shortly before noon and then moved on to lunch at the Centennial Vineyards restaurant in Bowral.
The intimate ceremony only had a small number of guests due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and Richard’s daughters Sasha and Grace are believed to have attended.
Sam’s father, Mac, was sitting at the head of the table at the reception, while his younger brother, Charlie, was sitting nearby.
She wore a simple but elegant dress by designer Carla Zampatti, whose outfits she has worn often in the past.
A source told Daily Mail Australia of the nuptials: “The champagne was flowing and at one point they had several waiters attending to their every need.”
“However, they did not receive any VIP treatment and, while they were away from other guests, they were seated among locals and tourists.”
One Burradoo local said it was “practically a lunch” and added that Sam seemed relaxed as she “rubbed Richard’s back, chatting to the guests”.
The newlyweds arrived at the reception in a local taxi.
Sam and Richard began dating in April 2019 and announced their engagement in June 2020.
