A woman who was allegedly run over and killed by her husband leaves five children; His eldest son, 20, talks about how he will have to raise his four younger siblings.

Steven Galcsik, 47, allegedly hit his wife Natalie, 46, with a car at their Pokolbin home in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales shortly after 6pm on Friday.

The alleged incident occurred at a property where the couple runs a luxury accommodation business.

A family member called emergency services, but despite their best efforts, Mrs Galcsik died at the scene.

Detectives are reportedly investigating how many times Ms. Galcsik was allegedly beaten while her husband is in custody charged with domestic violence murder.

On Monday, Ms Galcsik’s 20-year-old son Alex revealed that he had been left alone to support his siblings, as he launched a GoFundMe to help with financial costs.

“My mother dedicated her life to raising me and my siblings with selflessness and love despite difficult circumstances,” he wrote.

‘She was the best mother we could have asked for.

“Any contribution, large or small, would be greatly appreciated to ease the financial burden of this difficult situation.”

Meanwhile, online tributes have begun to pour in for the mother, with one friend saying the news of her death left her “speechless”.

“Anyone who knew Natalie and her amazing children would know how kind and selfless she was,” the friend wrote online.

“My heart breaks for these five children.”

It is not the first tragedy that has happened to the family. Galcsik’s sudden death comes just 14 months after the couple’s seven-year-old son drowned in a tragedy at a dam near the property.

The boy was pulled unconscious from a dam in Pokolbin on August 18, 2023.

The Galcsiks owned Unlax @ Hunter Valley, a four-star boutique bed and breakfast offering self-contained cabins for rent in the heart of the state’s wine country.

Rooms at this rustic property start at $398 per night and offer guests “360-degree views of natural bushland and native wildlife.”

They owned the business for seven years after purchasing the 40-hectare property for $1.45 million in 2017.

Detectives are investigating whether the Galcsiks, who had no police record for domestic violence, were dealing with marital problems before their deaths.

Police are also investigating whether the alleged incident was witnessed by family members. It is understood that Alex Galcsik made the triple 0.

An application for an AVO has been made between Galcsik and his adult son, who is due to appear at Cessnock Local Court next month.

According to online publications, Ms. Galcsik was a horse enthusiast and member of the region’s equestrian community.

She also loved dogs and was interested in spirituality and holistic wellness practices, such as reiki.

The property has been declared a crime scene and Daily Mail Australia understands its accommodation services have been suspended until further notice.

Galcsik will face Newcastle Local Court again on November 27.
