On the latest episode of TSN Insider Trading, NHL insider Darren Dreger shared that Buffalo Sabers general manager Kevyn Adams is open to making a big move to upgrade the club’s roster.

“Yes, Adams is willing to consider something bigger, but he doesn’t want to give up any of his best young NHL talent.”

Adams is understandably willing to make a big move right now. Looking at their group, there’s no doubt they could use another proven top-six winger and a solid right-shot defenseman.
Additionally, Adams understandably doesn’t want to part with any of his top young NHL-caliber players. The Sabers are currently looking to break their 13-year playoff drought, so trading a key NHL piece just doesn’t make sense for them right now.
The Sabers have a solid group of prospects and draft picks to work with to potentially make an impact. It will be intriguing to see if they end up doing just that from here.
