NFL quarterback exits game in 'significant pain' after scary low hit

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith left his team’s Sunday Night Football contest against the Green Bay Packers after suffering a leg injury in the third quarter.

Smith was hit low on a pass play by Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, who appeared to begin stumbling before hitting the Seattle quarterback.

Smith was seen limping off the field after the hit and angrily slammed his helmet on the bench. Later, he was seen wincing in pain.

After the injury, backup quarterback Sam Howell filled in. The Seahawks made three and kicked a field goal to make the game 20-6.

During the break between the field goal and kickoff, Smith went to the locker room with the team’s medical staff and was officially listed as questionable.
