Ryan Reynolds praised his close friend Taylor Swift after wrapping up her successful Eras Tour concert.
On Sunday, the Deadpool & Wolverine star, 48, opened up to THR about his and wife Blake Lively’s relationship with the Cruel Summer singer and what he wishes she could do during her concert tour.
When asked by the outlet if attending the 35-year-old hitmaker’s concert served as research, the actor said the show is “a must-see.”
He replied: ‘Research? There is no compensation for that. It is something that must be witnessed.
The father of four said he wishes the Mirrorball singer had been able to sit back and watch her own high-energy performance from the stands.
“I told Taylor a while ago that I wish she had a chance to see herself from the audience, even just for a moment,” he said.

Reynolds and the It Ends With Us actress, 37, attended three Eras Tour shows: October 25 and 26 in New Orleans, as well as May 29 in Madrid.
In late October, after participating in the Eras tour, Reynolds took to his Instagram to express his support for the You Belong With Me singer in a similar way.
While sharing snaps from the show, he wrote: ‘I don’t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent and discipline that goes into @taylorswift to create an experience like this because I’m not a scientist. It is a sporting event and a collective cultural phenomenon.
‘It’s gigantic but intimate. The only bad thing is that you can’t be in the audience to experience what everyone else sees and feels. Looking at herself up there is something I wish she knew. But that’s not physically possible and even if it were, you can’t get tickets at the last minute.’
Reynolds, Lively and Swift have been close friends since 2015 and have since been spotted enjoying parties together and, most recently, at Kansas City Chiefs games in support of the pop star’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
As a nod to her best friends, Swift named the characters in her song Betty after Ryan and Blake’s three children at the time: James, Inez, and Betty. The song appears on their 2020 album Folklore.
The Eras tour kicked off on March 17 of last year in Glendale, Arizona, and grossed more than $1.04 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour in history, according to the AP.
Throughout her stops on the Eras Tour, the August singer played four surprise songs, which changed with each show, on piano and acoustic guitar.
And he played almost every record in his discography of more than 300 songs that he has vocalized in his two-decade career as an artist.
Swift concluded the Eras tour in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8. The last three shows in Vancouver were actively filmed by a two-man camera crew, leaving fans convinced that he is filming a second tour film.
Swift secretly filmed the concert film during her series of shows in Los Angeles in August 2023; the film was released two months later, on October 13.
It holds the record for the highest-grossing concert film of all time, grossing over $261 million at the global box office.
Taylor Swift and her team have yet to confirm whether another film project is in the works. However, fans are almost certain that the blonde beauty, known for her surprises and Easter eggs, has a secret sequel up her sleeve.

The Eras Tour Book launched exclusively at Target earlier this month for $39.99.
Describing the set’s imagery and props, Swift said her goal was to “create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house, and a showgirl’s dressing room routine.” .
The 1 singer also described the book as the “official retrospective of the most wonderful tour of her life.”
It also sparked rumors of a possible twelfth album and another tour with the final line in the Eras Tour Book: “See you in the next era.”
