The palace said in a brief statement: "Your Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit the Commonwealth Kingdoms of Australia and New Zealand by the respective governments of the countries.
"The Duke and Duchess will visit Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
"The program in these four Commonwealth countries will focus on youth leadership, the environment and conservation efforts, including the dedication of various Queen & Commonwealth Canopy projects and the recovery and rehabilitation of men and women through Invictus Games Sydney 2018 ".
Invictus Games was held for the first time in London in 2014.
After Sydney, the next event will be held in the Netherlands in May 2020.
David Beckham is expected to join Harry and Meghan in Australia after becoming ambassador of the event.
