When police arrived at the scene, she tried to downplay what happened, insisting that everything was fine, before admitting that she and her boyfriend Jacob Nelund had argued.

Both Chelsea and Jacob’s pupils were dilated and did not respond to flashlight shining into their eyes, indicating to authorities that they had likely been using recreational drugs.

An officer described Chelsea said she was “sweating profusely” and was very nervous during the time police were at the scene.

“It appeared that Jacob and Chelsea were more concerned about his drug addiction than providing (the baby) with a clean and safe environment,” police wrote.

During the search of the home, police also found evidence suggesting that drug dealing may have been occurring inside the home and that a methamphetamine cooking system had been set up.

In a second incident last week, on October 11, police stopped Chelsea while she was driving.

She was arrested once again after police found a methamphetamine pipe on her along with pills that included oxycodone, Morphine sulfate and hydrocodone pills stuffed in her bra.

For that incident, she was charged with three felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping, and possession of narcotics.

She will appear in court at a hearing scheduled for next month to address both cases.
