Robbie Williams has reportedly turned down a very expensive contract for a Las Vegas residency.

The 50-year-old singer has enjoyed massive success since leaving Take That in the 1990s and released solo hits including Angels, Candy and She’s The One.

Organisers wanted her to follow in the footsteps of Adele and Britney Spears but were “absolutely devastated” when she turned down a spot at Voltaire, where her Kids collaborator Kylie Minogue recently finished a stint.

A source said The sun“They love his music and his stage talent and thought his great personality and charisma on stage were perfect for them. But when they presented the offer, Rob turned them down.”

However, the successful rock DJ is said to be planning his next career move “carefully” rather than throwing in a series of shows in Las Vegas.

The source added: “But Robbie seems to want to take a more careful approach in what he does next.”

MailOnline has contacted Robbie’s representatives for comment.

Adele reportedly earns £1.5million each time she performs her Weekends With Adele concert, while Kylie is said to have pocketed almost £750,000 per show at The Venetian Resort.

Britney is believed to have earned $300,000 a night during her Las Vegas residency, which ran from 2013 to 2017, in the years before her conservatorship ended.

Last year, the Millennium singer released a Netflix documentary exploring his mental health struggles, and a biopic based on his life is due to be released this Christmas.

Despite his superstar status, Robbie recently claimed that he is totally unknown in the US and used that as a reason for moving there in the early 2000s.

He said: ‘I am completely anonymous in the United States and I had no plans to change that until now.

Robbie rose to fame as a member of Take That in the late 1990s, but left the group in July 1995 and embarked on a successful solo career.

“Now I’m desperate for that to change. I moved so I could be Bruce Wayne in America and Batman everywhere else.”

In his Netflix documentary last year, Robbie revealed his life “went seriously out of control” after turning to a bottle of vodka every night before going to Take That rehearsals.

Robbie eventually quit the chart-topping band in 1995 and reflected on his drug and alcohol addiction, and how much it affected his life.

Robbie said: “I was doing everything I could get my hands on – ecstasy, cocaine, alcohol. I was literally drinking like a bottle of vodka the night before we started rehearsals, so that was happening every night.”
