A magistrate has branded former football agent Ricky Nixon, who was found guilty of assaulting a postman during a package delivery at his home, a liar.
The controversial 61-year-old claimed he was acting in self-defence during the altercation on March 10, 2022 at his Port Melbourne address.
Melbourne Magistrates Court heard last week that Nixon assaulted postman Behroz Kahaliqi and threw a parcel at him following an incident with Nixon’s girlfriend Melissa Huynh.
Nixon said he was forced to defend himself from the courier, who he said called his partner a “moron.”

Nixon had claimed that he acted in self-defense during the altercation on March 10, 2022.
‘He stood there with parcels and a box and said “your girlfriend is nothing but a whore”… then he punched me, kicked me in the knee (and) threw a box at me. ‘ Nixon told the court.
“I didn’t believe (the alleged incident), I just said it was Ricky Nixon and he went crazy.”
On Tuesday, magistrate Vincenzo Caltabiano considered that the former football agent’s evidence was “neither credible nor reliable.”
“I am not convinced that there is a reasonable possibility that Mr. Nixon’s account is correct,” Judge Caltabiano ruled.
“I am convinced that Nixon assaulted Mr. Kahaliqi while they were at the door.
“I am satisfied that Nixon then dragged him (to his property) and assaulted him further.”
Judge Caltabiano ruled that Nixon had assaulted the courier without threatening his own safety and was not acting in self-defense.
The magistrate added that Nixon’s evidence that he did not throw a package in the mail is neither reliable nor credible.
Nixon was convicted of assault and missile launch
Nixon was convicted of firing a missile and unlawful assault and will appear in court again on June 27.
This month, Nixon will begin starring in a new series called Vendetta 19 Nixon, where he plays amputee gangster Thomas Moran.
“I live a very different and colorful life,” Nixon told the Herald Sun.
“When I was asked about this, I talked to some friends and thought it was a challenge.”
Filming on the new series will begin in June and the pilot will air this spring on social media.
