While the Kansas City Chiefs lead the way with the soberest fan base, the Tennessee Titans have the drunkest fans.

A team’s success does not directly correlate with how much that franchise’s fans drink, as Super Bowl champions who have the least alcohol-consuming props are not directly linked to each other.

The data was collected anonymously from BACtrack application, which uses smartphone-compatible breathalyzers. The information used in the study came from users who approved their data to be shared.

The Titans had an average blood alcohol level (BAC) of 0.093%, higher than the legal limit of 0.08% when someone is presumed intoxicated.

Five of the NFL fans ended up with an average BAC that would be considered drunk. Behind the Titans were the Steelers (.088%), Colts and Falcons (.085%), as well as the Saints (.0.80%).

Only 30 teams in the league received official data, as the Jaguars and Jets had “insufficient data.” Those would have been two interesting numbers, as neither team lived up to high expectations this year.

The more sober fans included both teams that played in the AFC Championship.

Leading the way with the best post-game driving ability are the Chiefs (.051%), Commanders and Giants (.058%), Ravens (.059%), and the Chargers (.062%).

Despite their wild attacks, the Buffalo Bills ranked 20th overall with 0.065%. It was not provided in the data whether Jason Kelce was included in the data for the AFC divisional round game against the Chiefs.

Only four teams' fan bases had average BACs below .06, including the Baltimore Ravens.

Among the eight most sober fan bases, only the Ravens and Chiefs made the postseason.

Only the Steelers made it to a playoff game among the team’s drunkest fan bases. No. 7 Green Bay was the team with the least sober fan base to win a playoff game.

The San Francisco 49ers, who lost the Super Bowl in overtime, finished in the middle at 14th overall with an average BAC of .070%.
