A deep dive exploring more than 23,000 profiles in the Tinder dating pool has identified the most common, self-declared interests of those looking for love on the mobile app.

And yet, despite that wide variety, the adventurous spirit was strong in most, uniting people of all sexes and genders: “Travel” appeared as a top interest in 24 percent of women’s profiles and 21 percent of men.
“For singles who hope their future partner will share their passion for travel,” the researchers said, “Tinder may be the place to find them.”

But the differences are that singles might have the opportunity to perform a data-driven ‘life hack’, which the study’s authors identified more as a matter of tone than a radical change in personality.
“The findings suggest that men who want a better chance of finding a compatible partner on the app may want to slow down and engage in more relaxing hobbies,” according to the authors of the study, commissioned by the site. CasinoZonder.
The major outliers who appeared on women’s top 20 lists, but not men’s, tended to be more low-key and relaxed, whether enjoying brunch (6 percent of profiles) or drinking a time for “self-care.” ‘ (7 percent).
“Generally, women are more interested in more relaxing hobbies than in getting their blood pumping,” as the researchers stated.
The outliers in the men’s list indicate that women may want to take the data as inspiration to indulge their athletic side.
Another “interest” exclusive to the male top 20: “comedy” (5 percent of profiles). So don’t be afraid to tell a joke.
“Dating apps and online dating are some of the most common ways to find a partner today,” the researchers said.
“And the information that potential matches choose to display on their profile is key to determining whether someone might be compatible with you.”
