TikTok users have created Broadway-worthy musical songs after discovering the terrible fate of Phyliss, the wife of Punxsutawney Phil, who predicts the weather.

The idea has spread to such an extent that a ‘Groundhog Day Musical’ is doing the rounds on the social media app.

Caretakers are welcome to pet Phil, as AJ Dereume is a Pennsylvania resident and member of the Groundhog Club.
If he doesn’t eat vegetables or spend time with his wife Phyliss, the club stated that Phil “enjoys a good book and reading the newspaper.”
One user criticized Phil for lying about spring coming early so he could “impress them/live forever,” while many others wrote songs like the mayor of Punxsutawney.
This isn’t the first time TikTok almost produced its own Broadway show. In 2020, users came together to create ‘Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical’, based on the 2007 Disney film, Ratatouille.
In 2021, Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear created ‘The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical’, based on season 1 of the Netflix show.
The duo won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album in 2022, but were later sued by Netflix.
