Dino lovers and fans of well-kept survival need to be very strong now: Ark 2 will not be released this year. As the developer studio Wildcard announced, the sequel to Survival Evolved with Vin Diesel at the end of 2024 at the earliest appear.
But that’s not all bad news: In the same breath, it is announced that the first gameplay for Ark 2 is also a long time coming. Fans no longer need to expect new videos or even screenshots this year.
What you should know about the new Ark 2 shift
Why only 2024? The developers of Wildcard communicated that Ark 2 will be delayed in one go official blog post. The decisive factor for the shift is the switch to Unreal Engine 5, with which you first have to get sufficiently familiar. This is how you want to ensure the quality of the final product while taking into account the well-being of the team.
Is there a specific date? No, Ark 2 still does not have a specific release date with the postponement. The survival game was originally supposed to be released in 2022, then 2023. No gameplay or screenshots for now: New material or even new information will still be a long time coming. So Ark 2 will be released sometime in late 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The release is planned from day 1 in Game Pass. The developers of Ark 2 want to play with a parkour system and revised fights in third person, intelligent dinosaurs, more story and full mod support.
