State media said the person was released from a hospital in a Chinese city earlier this month and immediately quarantined.

The person, who is still unidentified, lives in Peopledu Daily in Chengdu in Sichuan province in southwest China.
Community officials claimed that the person and his family members had been isolated since the person’s recovery.
The family only left their home on February 19 when they were taken to a medical center for testing.
The results were surprisingly positive for the former patient.
Officials took the patient and their relatives to the Chengdu Clinic for Public Health to be quarantined on the same day.
The news caused panic on Chinese social media. Some users feared that there were many more cases like this; while others urged hospitals to raise their testing standards.
A person wrote on Twitter-like Weibo: ‘This news is too scary. There are so many recovered cases, how many more people are in this situation? “

A third reader speculated about the possible causes of the case: “Two possibilities. First, their family members are virus carriers that show no symptoms and were not detected in previous tests, so the patient was reinfected. Secondly, the patient had a false recovery. The virus has not completely disappeared and then reappeared. “
An expert said the patient’s case was rare but not unheard of.
Dr. Lei Xuezhong, deputy director of the Center of Infectious Disease at Huaxi Hospital, claimed that the change in the virus test standard could be the cause.
Dr. Lei speculated that doctors took a tissue sample from the patient’s upper respiratory tract instead of the lower respiratory tract in the hospital.
“As the disease develops, it is highly likely that a virus is detected in the sample from the lower respiratory tract,” Dr. said. Lei Red Star news.
