According to marcaReal Madrid are trying to close a deal with Haaland and Mbappe as soon as possible given the great interest in their services.
Haaland has scored an astonishing 78 goals in 77 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund since moving from RB Salzburg to the Bundesliga in January 2020.
His goal return has made him one of European football’s hottest attributes, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and City all associated with the Dortmund striker in the past 18 months.
Haaland has so far been tight-lipped about his future, but acknowledged on Friday that this could soon change as Dortmund want him to make his plans clear.

Clubs around the world compete for the striker’s signature after his fame in 2020
Haaland said: ‘They have started to put a lot of pressure on me and I have to accept that. I chose not to say anything out of respect for the club and the fans.
“But now that there is a lot of pressure from the club, it’s time to get things started. It means things will happen now.
“I’ve said from the start that I want to focus on football because that’s when I’m at my best. Not when other things come to mind.
When asked when he expected to make a decision, the Norwegian replied: ‘Not now, because we are in the middle of a difficult period with many games. I just want to play football, but I can’t right now. ‘
Haaland has the option to leave Dortmund in the summer when his £64m severance clause becomes active, and the club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted last weekend it will be difficult for the Bundesliga giants to sign him to keep.
Watzke said in an interview with Der Spiegel via Marca: ‘Who would give away one of Europe’s best strikers in the winter market if they didn’t have to?
Mbappe has been linked with leaving PSG when his contract expires this summer
Mbappe lit up Ligue 1 by scoring 18 goals for Paris Saint-Germain this season
“He will not leave in January. Dortmund is still in three leagues and we want to compete with the best teams.
“Of course it will be difficult to keep him. But we want and we will try. Haaland will not leave in January, but it will be difficult to keep him in the summer.”
Meanwhile, Mbappe has been linked with a departure from Paris Saint-Germain after his contract expires this summer.
Reports suggested he pushed for a departure last summer but PSG are determined to keep him and are even said to have turned down a £134m offer from Real Madrid.
The Ligue 1 side estimated the French World Cup winner at closer to £175 million, which prevented Los Blancos from making another offer with his contract expiring at the end of June.
In addition, sporting director Leonardo has said that Mbappe “promised he would never leave for free”.
