Lisa Oldfield sent fans into a frenzy on Sunday when she announced her engagement to boyfriend James “Jimbo” Laws.

The former Real Housewives of Sydney star and the businessman have been a couple since 2019 and it seems they have taken the next step.

In an Instagram post, Lisa, 49, posed alongside James as they enjoyed a holiday together in Fiji.

Along with the magical array of idyllic holidays, Lisa wrote: ‘Enjoying a much needed break and being pampered by a big guy in Fiji!’

It was hard to miss the sparkle on her ring finger, which she held up to the camera, sparking rumors that she had gotten engaged.

“Oh my gosh congrats!” one person wrote in the comments, while another said: “New ring huh? Not so subtle engagement?”

“Ummm, hey love… are you the big lady?” one person asked, and another added: “Do I need to congratulate her?”

Another asked: “Is that a diamond ring?” and another replied: “Wow! Congratulations!”

Other comments asked if Lisa was engaged and several congratulated her, assuming she was ready to get married.

Lisa and James, who started dating in 2019, have been madly in love with each other for some time now.

In 2019, just eight months after announcing her split from her husband of 18 years, former One Nation co-founder David Oldfield, Lisa was already talking about marriage to James.

“Oh my gosh congrats!” one person wrote in the comments, while another said: “New ring huh? Not so subtle engagement?”

“I expect we’ll get married at the end of next year,” she said of her boyfriend, whom she had been dating for seven months at the time.

“He’s a genuine guy. He’s a very nice, understanding and wonderful guy with my kids,” the former reality star added.

Lisa shares sons Harry, 13, and Bert, 11, with ex-husband David and they continue to co-parent despite their bitter split.

“Divorce is horrible… David, a lovely guy, we were best friends for 15 years… nobody cheated on us. Love died,” Lisa said.

It comes after Lisa told him The Daily Telegraph who was left in financial difficulties after separating from David.

“Last year the rug was pulled out from under my feet,” he told the paper at the time.

“I had to find money to pay legal fees, find a new home and all the other costs associated with living and I was really on the verge of collapse.”

The reality star claims she “never paid a bill” and left all financial decisions to her husband.

“I’m embarrassed to say it, but until this year, despite having financed the bills, I don’t think I’ve paid any,” he said.

Lisa says she has since taken control of her money and will “never let a man” be in charge of her finances again.
