Raye has revealed she is “so grateful” to have opened Taylor Swift’s final London show of her Eras tour amid the megastar’s epic Wembley run.

The 26-year-old singer was one of five acts chosen to open the 34-year-old American star’s concert when he brought his tour to Wembley Stadium for a further five sold-out nights from August 15-20.

On Wednesday, following her big performance, Raye shared a carousel of images from this month on Instagram, including several of her incredible onstage performances and one of her hugging Taylor.

Among the snaps, Raye shared a glimpse of Taylor’s handwritten note in which she says she’s a “huge fan” of the Escapism singer before thanking her for agreeing to open her show.

The message read: “Raye, I am a huge fan of yours and have been for years. I can’t believe how lucky I was, that you said ‘yes’ and joined us on such an important night of The Eras Tour, our last night at Wembley! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Raye, whose real name is Rachel Agatha Keen, also uploaded an image of the sealed envelope, which featured Taylor’s personalised wax seal with her initials “TS”.

Captioning her post, Raye wrote: ‘I’m so grateful to be opening for @taylorswift, so grateful for the festivals and the shows, so grateful that people are actually coming to see us now, so grateful to be a musician, so grateful that Instagram lets me add more photos to my archive. Big kiss from me.’

The Brit Award winner also shared a photo of herself and Taylor on her Stories, writing: “Thank you @taylorswift for everything. You are the most adorable, sweetest person and I am so grateful.”

Raye’s excitement comes after she looked nothing short of sensational in a navy blue dress while performing at Lollapalooza Music Festival in Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, earlier this month.

The British singer looked incredible in the elegant strapless dress that highlighted her slender figure.

She wore a coordinating navy scarf and accessorized the look with a pair of dazzling silver flower earrings.

Record-breaking Brit Award winner Raye was in good spirits as she performed her hits for the American audience.

It comes after Raye She became emotional at Capital’s Summertime Ball when she gave an emotional speech about those who have suffered sexual violence, while hinting at her own experience.

He made the comments while performing his song Ice Cream Man at a concert at Wembley Stadium in June.

The song is about Raye being sexually assaulted when she was 17 by a music producer, who forced his hand between her legs.

“I wanted to sing this song for you today,” Raye said. “I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I need to sing this song for myself, too.”

“It’s a very difficult subject. When I started looking at the statistics, I realised that one in four women and men will experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime.”

Raye added: ‘And that’s a quarter of you. That’s 20,000 people in this room who will relate to the words of this song, which blows my mind because I know most of us walk around pretending everything’s okay, and sometimes it’s not.

‘Sometimes you need to speak out loud about things you’ve kept silent about your entire life, and for me, the way to do that is through my music, so please excuse the sad subject matter of this song.’

At the end of the emotional song, Raye said: “Thank you for being patient with me. Yeah, that’s a lot.”
