Ravens superstar Derrick Henry scored a touchdown for the 10th straight game on Thursday… but the night may be remembered for a much different reason.
Baltimore came away with a 35-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in a thriller, but then fans reflected on an awkward moment in the second half.
When Henry was tackled just before the Bengals’ 25-yard line, his pants were inadvertently pulled down for everyone to see.
It seemed like the jogger immediately felt like he was a little more exposed than usual and quickly tried to grab his pants to pull his butt cheeks away.
However, it was too late for social media to take notice, and thousands of people quickly discussed the “full moon in Baltimore.”
Derrick Henry literally had his pants pulled down live on television Thursday night.
Fans quickly took to social media to react to the viral moment in the fourth quarter.
A series of memes quickly went viral, including several references to SpongeBob SquarePants.
One NFL fan wrote: “DERRICK HENRY JUST FELT ON LIVE TV.”
Another added: “Did anyone else have Derrick Henry more than 1.5 bare cheeks?”, while a third said: “Derrick Henry’s entire butt was right on my screen.”
In the game itself, the Ravens managed to overcome an incredible performance by Ja’Marr Chase to steal the win and bring their record to 7-3 for the season.
Henry’s moment overshadowed Lamar Jackson’s (right) brilliance during the game
Memes quickly flooded social media as fans compared Henry to SpongeBob SquarePants.
Chase had three touchdowns and 264 receiving yards on an incredible night, but it was Lamar Jackson and company who came out on top, alone.
The game came down to the final seconds when the Bengals scored a touchdown and had the option of forcing overtime or going for two to win the game.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor opted for the latter, but the attempt failed and the Ravens were able to finish the game in victory formation.
