Rasmus Hojlund became the youngest player to score in six consecutive Premier League games after scoring a brace against Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
Hojlund (21 years 14 days) surpassed Joe Willock’s record (21 years 272 days) by scoring twice in the Manchester United clash at Kenilworth Road.
Hojlund opened the scoring in the first minute of the match, finding the back of the net after an error by Amari’i Bell put Hojlund in the goal.
Thomas Kaminski narrowed the angle, but the forward, now full of confidence, simply went around him and slotted the ball into the empty goal.
Hojlund extended Manchester United’s lead just six minutes later, deflecting Alejandro Garnacho’s volley attempt.

Hojlund has been in good form for Manchester United, having started his scoring streak on Boxing Day when the Red Devils beat Villa 3-2 at Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old star scored the winning goal before being ruled out of United’s next match against Nottingham Forest due to illness.
However, he returned to the team against Tottenham and found the back of the net to help the Red Devils claim a point.
The youngster also scored in Manchester United’s victories over Wolves and West Ham before putting tThe Red Devils won 1-0 in their 2-1 victory over Aston Villa last week.
This is not the first time Hojlund has broken a record, as he had previously broken a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Hojlund provided the assist for Marcus Rashford’s early goal at Molineux before scoring himself.
In United’s previous Premier League game, a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham, Hojlund also scored and set up a goal.
As a result, Hojlund became the youngest United player to score and assist in consecutive Premier League games.
The record was previously held by Ronaldo, who achieved the feat as a 21-year-old in 2007 while playing for the Red Devils.
In early 2007, Ronaldo scored and assisted in consecutive Premier League matches against Watford and Tottenham.
