Brighton was without a large number of protagonists, including Lewis Dunk, but still managed to get a good picture of itself.

Seagulls goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen had to react well to fend off a bet from Leon Balogun.

Brighton then started to threaten, with Neal Maupay having saved a shot before Dan Burn headed over.

In the second half, Rangers threatened to continue several times. Lundstram rattled the bar and then Ianis Hagi found the net, but was penalized for a challenge on Yves Bissouma.

The experienced Jermain Defoe headed wide but Brighton managed to hold on to a draw.
