Southampton is reportedly interested in signing Celtic Scotland midfielder Ryan Christie.
The 26-year-old was an integral part of the Scottish team that qualified for this summer’s European Championship; and his ability to score goals from midfield appeals to Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
According to The sun Christie’s contract expires at the end of this year, so Celtic will have to sell him or risk losing him on a free transfer.

Norwich and Burnley have also been linked with Christie, as the Canaries are preparing to return to the Premier League under Daniel Farke and are reportedly looking to pair him with current Parkhead teammate Kris Ajer.
Meanwhile, FA Cup winners Leicester City have reportedly agreed on a deal to sign Saints’ Ryan Bertrand on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old has made agreements with Brendan Rodgers’ team Football Insider.
Foxes’ boss is an admirer of the former England left back and is expected to fill the void left by Christian Fuchs, who will leave the club after six years at the King Power stadium.
It is believed that Bertrand would also serve as a mentor to young defenders Luke Thomas and James Justin.

Rodgers worked with him when he was part of the coaching line-up at Chelsea and last year said: ‘Ryan is a player I know very well. We took him to Chelsea at the age of 16 and he has had a brilliant career. ‘
Bertrand will end his seven-year stay on the south coast when his contract expires on June 30.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl paid tribute to the long-serving left back by saying: ‘He’s been here for seven years and he has done a good job for this club.
“We have to move on, as with other things in life, and we’ll replace him in the summer.”
