Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly planning a sensational last minute move to get Georginio Wijnaldum from under Barcelona’s nose for free.
The Dutch midfielder will leave Liverpool at the end of June when his contract expires, having already played his last game for the club, where he said a fond farewell to teammates and supporters alike on the last day of the Premier League season.
It certainly looked like Barcelona would get the 30-year-old on a free transfer as a long-term goal, as the players’ representatives negotiated with Nou Camp chiefs.
