Prince William is feeling “quietly positive about the Princess of Wales’ recovery” after Kate Middleton “took the lead” in her congratulatory message to Team GB, body language has claimed.
The royal couple, both 42, appeared in a star-studded video message to British Olympians last night as the sporting event drew to a close in Paris.
After being introduced by American rapper Snoop Dogg, the Princess of Wales, wearing a striped Ralph Lauren T-shirt, told the athletes: “Congratulations to the British team.”
The Prince of Wales, wearing a Team GB shirt and sporting a stubble beard, added: “Well done for all you have achieved, you have been an inspiration to us all.”
Analyzing the sweet interaction, body language expert Judi James highlighted the Princess’ confidence in front of the camera.

Speaking to Femail, the expert explained: ‘Kate doesn’t hide behind her husband or use him as a rock or support.
‘The couple sit close together, but it is Kate who is in front in this pose, with William’s shoulder just behind hers, and it is Kate who leads the message, speaking first using animated gestures while William waits his turn.
‘Kate’s perfect, symmetrical smile is back and her eyebrows are raised to register her personal pride in Team GB.
‘William’s facial expression next to her suggests pride in his wife and the Olympic team, as he flashes a pursed smile with his lips closed.
‘When it’s her turn to speak, she tilts her head up and raises one eyebrow in another sign of machismo, but this is very much Kate’s show and William seems very pleased to see it, with his wife by his side again in public.
As such, the expert said William hinted that he feels “quietly positive and encouraging” about his wife’s recovery.
Furthermore, the expert also pointed out how William’s facial hair in the video was “a symbol of the way he currently devotes himself and his time to his family.”
Judi added: ‘A beard is a symbol of masculinity and physical strength, but it’s also a gesture that announces ‘I’m off duty’ for men like William, whose work look is normally clean-shaven.’
After being introduced by American rapper Snoop Dogg, the Princess of Wales, wearing a striped Ralph Lauren T-shirt, told the athletes: “Congratulations to Team Great Britain.”
In March, the Princess of Wales announced in an emotional video message that she is undergoing cancer treatment and has drastically reduced her public appearances.
In June, Kate attended Trooping the Colour celebrations in London and recently watched the Wimbledon men’s singles final with Princess Charlotte.
Kate and William’s radiant video came shortly after an emotional statement from King Charles III, in which he called all Olympians “an inspiration.”
The monarch congratulated the participants for their “extraordinary successes” and praised their “raw talent, their courage and their hard work” in the message, which came just hours before the final moments of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
In the viral video, which has already received more than 450,000 likes, former England captain and football icon David Beckham also gave a message of support.
