Prince Harry seems to diminish his sense of self when he’s with Meghan Markle, according to royal expert and former Tina Brown, editor of Vanity Fair. In a candid assessment, Brown suggests that the Duke of Sussex is so enthralled by his wife that he follows her lead without hesitation.

“I think he’s practically a slave to Meghan,” Brown said, adding mockingly that Harry is “the lamb to the slaughter in this situation.” She believes Harry has been deeply impressed by Meghan from the beginning of their relationship, to the point that he trusts her completely and follows her lead. “He thought she knew everything,” Brown continued.

“She convinced him that she was the sly Hollywood dealer, who would come and make them stars and all that. And he just followed her blindly, like he was a child, really.” Despite his criticism of Harry’s dynamic with Meghan, Brown acknowledged their strengths, especially when it comes to interacting with the public. “When he goes on those foreign trips that people make fun of, he’s really good at it. He’s charming, funny, sweet and authentic again.

“He has a real sense of being true and real, and he’s perfect at it,” she said, praising his natural ability to connect with people. Brown also lamented that Harry’s talents are no longer utilized within the royal family. “It’s actually very sad that he can’t come back to England and play that role, which is desperately needed.” she noted.

According to Brown, the monarchy is struggling without him and said: “Now the monarchy is a skeleton of itself.” In his comments, Brown highlights both Prince Harry’s genuine qualities and the loss the royal family faces without his presence, while also reflecting on the influence Meghan appears to have on him in their life together.
