Prince Andrew flew on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane with a Russian model that was later imprisoned for drug offenses, it is claimed.
The Duke of York, then 38, flew with Anne Malova, 27, on Epstein & # 39; s & # 39; Lolita Express & # 39; to the American mainland from the Caribbean island of the shamed financier in 1999, according to flight records filed with a US court.
It comes when the queen's second son, now 59, is confronted with a series of media reports about his alleged ties to Epstein, who committed suicide two weeks ago.
The Duke of York, then 38, flew with Anne Malova, 27, on Epstein & # 39; s & # 39; Lolita Express & # 39; to the American mainland from the Caribbean island of the shamed financier in 1999, according to flight registrations filed with a US court
Malova, a former Miss Russia, was – according to flight data – on the jet (photo) that carried nine passengers, including Epstein and the socialite Ghislaine Maxwell
The flight data was obtained by women who claim that they were traded according to Epstein The Sunday Times – and were filed in court by & # 39; sex slave & # 39; Virginia Roberts – who was photographed at the age of 17 with Prince Andrew's arm around her waist.
Malova, a former Miss Russia, was – according to flight data – on the jet that transported nine passengers, including Epstein and the socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.
The model had moved from Moscow to the United States and had reached the final of the Miss Universe beauty contest of Donald Trump in 1998. It is unclear how she got into Epstein's circle.
She got into trouble with the law in 2010 after prosecutors from New York accused her of forging a prescription for opioids – because she was also accused of stealing a prescription block from another doctor. She was imprisoned in May 2011 because she repeatedly turned up late for a court-imposed drug program.
When contacted by The Sunday Times, she said & # 39; cannot confirm or deny & # 39 ;.
The news comes when The Duke of York denied that he ever & # 39; any behavior of this kind & # 39; suspected convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew interrupted his silence after a series of media reports about his alleged ties with the financier, and Andrew issued a statement that & # 39; huge sympathy & # 39; for the victims of Epstein.
He also reiterated that it was a & # 39; mistake & # 39; was to see Epstein, 66, after the American's release from an 18-month prison sentence in 2010 for underage prostitutes.
The Duke of York has been looking intensively in recent weeks after a photo of him popped up with his arm around the waist of Epstein & # 39; sex slave & # 39; Virginia Roberts when she was 17
In a statement, Andrew said: & # 39; It has been clear to me since Mr. Epstein's suicide that there has been an enormous amount of media speculation in his life.
& # 39; This is particularly the case with regard to my former relationship or friendship with Mr. Epstein.
& # 39; That is why I want to clarify the facts to prevent further speculation.
& # 39; I met Mr. Epstein in 1999. During the time I knew him, I didn't see him often and probably no more than just once or twice a year. I have stayed in a number of his homes.
& # 39; During the limited time I have spent with him, I have not seen any behavior at any stage that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction. & # 39;
Epstein was found dead on August 10 in his prison cell in New York, where he was detained on charges of sex trafficking.
Since his death, there have been a number of reports about his relationship with Andrew, including that the couple traveled together on Epstein & # 39; s private jet with teen Virginia Roberts.
Mrs. Roberts has claimed in court records in Florida that she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was 17, under the state's consent.
Her allegations, which Andrew denies, were removed from the US civil court records in 2015 after a judge said she & # 39; intangible and impudent & # 39; goods.
The Duke of York said that at no time during the limited time I spent with & # 39; shameful financier Jeffrey Epstein & # 39; I saw, saw or suspected such conduct that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction & # 39;
Buckingham Palace has disputed recent reports about Andrew's links with Epstein, including private jet flights, about & # 39; a number of inconsistencies & # 39 ;.
Andrew's statement added: “I said earlier that it was a mistake and a mistake to see him after his release in 2010 and I can only reiterate my regret that I was mistaken to think what I was thought I knew about him, apparently not the real person, given what we know now.
& # 39; I have tremendous sympathy for everyone affected by his actions and behavior.
& # 39; His suicide has left many unanswered questions and I acknowledge and sympathize with everyone who is affected and wants some form of closure.
& # 39; This is a difficult time for all involved and I cannot understand or explain Mr Epstein's lifestyle.
& # 39; I deplore the exploitation of a human being and would not approve, participate or encourage such behavior. & # 39;
Andrew quit his role as UK trade envoy in 2011 following the release of photos showing him with Epstein in Central Park in New York.
The statement was released a few days after Andrew was seen in Spain, and as other members of the royal family, including the queen, taking their annual break in Balmoral.
It is the first time that Andrew himself has spoken about the issue in public since 2015.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said earlier after Epstein's arrest in 2019 that & # 39; the suggestion that he (Andrew) would approve, participate in or encourage such behavior is disgusted & # 39 ;.
