Presley Gerber recently talked about his battle with depression and the “mistakes” he made during his journey.
The 23-year-old was a guest at the Studio 22 podcast and shared that he hopes telling his stories can help people who are going through the same mental health struggles he is.
The model, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, has now made it his goal to bring more awareness about mental health.
“I’ve seen a lot of things and I’ve learned a lot of things,” he said.
“What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for other people so they don’t have to make the same mistakes I did.”

Presley sat down with the podcast’s hosts, Brock O’Hurn and Will Meldman, and told listeners about his goal to fully immerse himself in mental health.
“I feel like it needs to be talked about a lot more than it is,” he shared.
“I’ve struggled with mental health, depression and a number of other things that come with it, I guess whether I’m helping one person or a hundred people get out of that place I was at one point in my life, that’s all what should I do.’
Presley continued to share that it’s great to have an outlet to not just “tune in” your body and stay grounded with mental health, but share some of those struggles with others.
For the young star, music, yoga and meditation have been beneficial. He spent a lot of time in therapy over the years, taking a “deep dive” in an effort to “look inside myself.”
Model Kaia Gerber’s older brother explains, “Everyone has the same goal. Everyone wants to be happy.
“I feel like the more information there is that applies to a really better lifestyle — a way to interact with your body and especially your mind — that’s key.”
One of his goals was to come up with a business idea that could help raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

Presley said he’s been thinking about possible clothing brands revolving around the subject as a way to raise awareness.
He also has plans to start a project called “Mental Health Mondays,” where he will speak to the professionals who have helped him on his own journey and share tips on how to manage their mental health.
“That’s what gets me out of bed these days… is that hope that I’ve made the mistakes for a lot of people,” he shared.
“If they’re like me, well, they’re going to want to do it the hard way. But if they’ll listen, I can spare them a lot of hardship and a lot of struggle.’
He also tried out music and took some time in the studio because he “wanted an outlet” to “share some of my experiences with some people.”
Presley said, “That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed or struggling with something that’s having a negative effect on your body.” I mean, it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.’
