Sian Welby has revealed she is expecting a baby girl, as she prepares to welcome her first child with her fiancé Jake.
The Capital Breakfast host, 38, who previously kept the gender a top secret, revealed the happy news on the radio show on Wednesday morning.
In what Jordan North dubbed Sian’s ‘baby shower show’, the mother-to-be couldn’t help but reveal her gender to her fellow presenters and listeners.
She said: “I’m at that point where I’m 38 weeks – I have 11 days left.”
‘Before I go on pregnancy leave I want to share one thing with everyone because I have decided that Capital Breakfast has no listeners, we are a family and I have told my nearest and dearest what me and my partner Jake are having.

Her co-star Jordan surprised Sian in a baby Burnley football kit that said ‘Baby Welby’ on the back as she approaches her due date and prepares to go on maternity leave.
After her surprising announcement, her fellow co-star Chris Stark said: “You’re going to have an amazing time, I have a little girl too.”
‘She is 9 years old, but watching her grow has been very special for me, she is intelligent and creative. “Having a girl, just having a baby, will be wonderful.”
Jordan said, “What I’m saying is that they’re both going to be fantastic parents.” You are going to be the best mom and he will be the best dad. Honestly, we’re so happy for you.’
It comes after she revealed she was “forced to urinate in the middle of the A3” after getting stuck in horrendous traffic at the weekend.
The radio and TV star, who is 37 weeks pregnant, went to the roadside bathroom after sitting in freeway traffic for four hours with little to no movement.
Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of This Morning, Sian said she ran into the bushes to take cover but there were “brambles everywhere” and she had to urinate in the middle of the path.
She said: ‘I had to urinate in the middle of the road, in the bushes and I didn’t dare go in because it was full of brambles and nettles.’
The person she was traveling with captured the hilarious moment on camera, as Sian scrambled to try and find some privacy so she could urinate.

Presenters Dermot O’Leary, Josie Gibson and Giles Brandreth burst out laughing in the scenes, with Giles saying: ‘Are you the one coming back from your piss? Now I’ve seen it all. Morning television isn’t what it used to be, is it?
Dermot added: “The mystique is definitely gone, but who doesn’t love a rustic wee now and then?”
This led Sian to admit: ‘You know what? “It was stimulating.”
Sian kept her followers updated on the horrendous social media traffic that took almost five hours to clear.
When traffic started moving, the pregnant star filmed “reported roadwork” that hadn’t even happened: a row of traffic cones caused chaos that brought the highway to a standstill.
It comes after Sian admitted she is finding giving up alcohol “a lot harder than I expected” during her pregnancy.
Last month, Sian jetted off to Tenerife with her fiancé Jake for a holiday and, while sharing a glimpse of their trip on Instagram, she uploaded a photo of Jake enjoying a glass of white wine.
She captioned the post: “Not drinking on this holiday is a lot harder than I expected.”
