Customers are reeling from the sudden closure of a popular, trendy furniture and home goods retailer.

Sydney retailer Gigi&ToM announced the sad news this week with a post on Instagram, where it has more than 100,000 followers.

“It is with great regret that we must inform you that we will be closing our Gigi&ToM business,” the statement read.

“This decision has not been easy and we deeply appreciate your support over the past 3 years.

“While we are very proud of the community and brand we have built, the path to entrepreneurship is often unpredictable, and while we have had many victories, the current business environment has made it difficult to secure continued investment in a brand. new. .’

Customers were also told it was their “last chance to snap up our iconic range of unique homewares at a bargain price, while stocks last”.

“Please note that our business is operating as normal, we are not going into administration and all pre-orders have been fulfilled,” he added.

The store, which started in 2021, is primarily the brainchild of former major department retail buyer Abbie Evans and is named after her and other co-founders’ pets.
