Police launch desperate search for 16-year-old teen who disappeared from her home four days ago

Police have launched a desperate search for a teenage girl who disappeared from her home four days ago.

Courtney Barrowcliffe (16) was last seen in the Linton area near Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, around 10pm on Monday 7 June.

Police said officers are “concerned” for her safety and have now made an appeal to the public.

Police have released an image of the teenager, who has ties to Long Eaton and Nottingham city centre.

In the photo she can be seen wearing a brown/brown jacket and a red sweater with a large white logo.

Courtney is described as being about 6 feet tall, white and long, straight brown hair. Police say she may be wearing makeup.

In a statement, Derbyshire Police said: “Officers are increasingly concerned about the safety of a missing teenager from Swadlincote.

Courtney Barrowcliffe was last seen in the Linton area on Monday 7th June at around 10pm.

“Investigations are underway to find her, but we are now appealing to the public for help.”
