Pedophile, 60, in a ‘swingers’ group who drugged and raped a six-year-old girl while her mother and stepfather participated, his sentence on appeal SLASHED
- A pedophile who raped a six-year-old girl had his sentence broken
- Tracey Coulter, 57, was sentenced to 21 years in prison in 2012 for the crime
- The pedophile joined the parents of his victim and raped their drugged daughter
- His sentence has been reduced to 17 by the court of appeal
A member of a ‘swingers’ group who sexually abused a drugged six-year-old girl received his long prison sentence after an appeal.
The victim was abused by her mother, stepfather, and other men, including 57-year-old Tracey Coulter, who was guilty of 18 violations committed between November 2012 and December 2014.
Coulter was sentenced in the West Australian District Court to 21 years in prison – one of the highest prison sentences given to a pedophile in the state – but on Wednesday the WA Court of Appeal shortened his term to 17 years.
He remains eligible to be released conditionally in January 2033 and will be deported back to New Zealand.

The Court of Appeal disagreed with the sentencing judge, who described the delinquent as “the worst category.”
“Although the crime does not fall within the” worst category, “it is nevertheless a very serious example of this type, taking into account the aggravating circumstances,” the higher judges said.
During part of the abuse the girl was made to watch porn movies with children and got a pipe to smoke with a bewildering substance.

The girl said in her victim impact statement that she sometimes felt guilty.
The girl’s mother and stepfather, who cannot be named, have also pleaded guilty and will hear a sentence next week.
The police launched Taskforce Mirzam after a member of the public discovered a device with videos of the girl, then eight years old, who was sexually abused.
