Andrea Pirlo ‘wants Paul Pogba back as the man to lead his new Juventus midfield’ … and he could offer Paulo Dybala in a swap deal with Manchester United after agent Mino Raiola hinted that the Frenchman might be in the mood for a return to Italy.
- Juventus have identified Paul Pogba as their main transfer target this summer
- The Frenchman spent four seasons in Turin before rejoining United in 2016
- The Serie A champions could offer striker Paulo Dybala as part of the deal
- The Argentinian forward has recently been crowned MVP of the Serie A.
Juventus have identified Manchester United’s Paul Pogba as their main midfield goal for the summer and Paulo Dybala could be used as part of a swap deal.
United’s French midfielder has weathered a tidal wave at Old Trafford since rejoining the Premier League club from Juventus in 2016, where he won four Serie A titles.
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo spent several hours on Thursday discussing various transfer goals and expenses with the club’s management, citing Dybala as the main departure time this summer.

And according to Tuttosport, the Serie A champions could convince Manchester United to give up their star midfielder by offering striker Dybala as part of the deal.
The Argentine forward was recently crowned ‘Serie A MVP’ after leading Juventus to yet another Scudetto title. The 26-year-old won the award despite scoring 20 league goals less than Juventus’ top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Pirlo is supposed to be looking for a good center forward for next season and Dybala is not meeting Pirlo’s criteria.

The striker was offered to Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago, but turned down the offer on the deadline.
Other possible forays from Juventus next season include Gonzalo Higuain, Aaron Ramsey and Douglas Costa, with Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Raul Jimenez and Roma’s Edin Dzeko, all linked with Juventus as replacements up front.
Pogba, on the other hand, has worked his way back into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s end-of-season plans, following a combination of gnawing injuries and consistent transfer speculation that knocked out the French for most of the 2019-2020 season.

The 27-year-old looked like he would be part of a thrilling attacking line-up for United next season, including the free-scoring striker trio of Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
But the France international’s contract expires in 12 months and is reportedly keen to sign another five-year extension with the Premier League club.
But Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has repeatedly hinted at the World Cup winner’s possible return to Juventus in the past six months.
‘Italy is like home to Paul. He wouldn’t mind going back to Juventus, but we’ll see what’s going to happen, ” Raiola said in February.
Pogba is currently helping Manchester United with their Europa League challenge in Cologne
“Paul wants to play at the best level, but he cannot escape Manchester United if they are in a difficult situation.”
The midfielder played 178 games for the Old Lady between 2012 and 2016, before joining United for a then-world record of £ 89 million.
Since then he has played more than 150 times for the Red Devils in all competitions and helped the club win the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season at Old Trafford.
