James McCartney and Sean Ono Lennon have teamed up to release a new song together, following in the footsteps of their world-famous parents.
The children of Paul McCartney and John Lennon collaborated on a song titled Primrose Hill, which was released on Friday, April 12, and fans went crazy for the song.
Their father’s is remembered as one of the most powerful musical partnerships in music and it seems fans are equally impressed with James and Sean’s new duo.
The two men, who bear an uncanny resemblance to their fathers, co-wrote the song, which is a follow-up to James’ song Beautiful, which he wrote with Paul.
Sean, 48, is the second child of late icon John, while James is Paul’s only child and youngest, whom he welcomed with his late ex-wife Linda Eastman.

James, 46, shared news of the launch on his Instagram on Friday, along with a selfie of him and Sean, looking eerily like his parents.
He wrote: ‘Primrose Hill is here! Today I’m very excited to share my latest song co-written by my good friend @sean_ono_lennon.’
“With the release of this song I feel like we’re really getting things going and I’m so excited to continue sharing music with you.”
James received support from his father, Beatles legend Paul, 81, who also shared news of the song on his own social media page.
In a Facebook post, Paul wrote: “My son James has a new song called Primrose Hill. Check it out!”
He also showed appreciation for Sean, writing, “And lots of love to Sean Ono Lennon, who co-wrote the song.”
Fans also shared some love for the song and took to “Primrose Hill by James.” And Sean and I love BOTH tunes!

Noting the family resemblance, one said: “Sean Lennon and James McCartney together is very strange because they look like slightly different versions of their parents and that scares me.”
James and Sean have worked as solo artists and this is the first time they have worked together on a collaboration.
Sean has been involved in several bands including Cibo Matto, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and The Claypool Lennon Delirium.
James released solo albums and also worked with his parents on projects.
It appeared on Paul’s 1997 album Flaming Pie, as well as his 2001 album Driving Rain. She launched Wild Prairie in honor of her mother after her death in 1998.
James marked his return to music this year with the release of the song Beautiful.

Beatles legend John was shot to death at the age of 40 by deranged fan Mark Chapman outside his New York City home in 1980.
John left The Beatles in 1969 and became embroiled in legal battles over the band’s back catalogue, which caused tension between him and his former songwriting partner Paul.
Their friendship got back on track in the mid-1970s and Paul spent time at the home John shared in New York with his second wife, Yoko Ono.
He admitted that he would have been devastated if he had not had the chance to repair the cracks in his relationship with John before he was killed.
Paul said in McCartney: a life in letters podcast: ‘In the end, it was something I was very happy about when he was murdered, because I had had such a good time with him before that happened.
‘It would have been the worst thing in the world if he had been killed and we still had a bad relationship. That would have been a huge feeling of guilt for me.
‘Luckily, we were friendly, we talked about baking bread.
‘You have to remember I sued him in court, I sued his friends from Liverpool, lifelong friends, in court. There is a lot to overcome that needs to be done.’
