Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks is out for the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, it was announced.

Brooks, who has now suffered two cruciate ligament tears in 13 months, was taken off the field after sustaining a non-contact injury during the match.

And 24 hours later, the Panthers confirmed that the rookie tore his ACL on the day in Philadelphia, bringing his season to an abrupt end.
