Osher Gunsberg admits he lied to Abbie Chatfield during the finale of The Bachelor, when he knew Matt Agnew would leave her heartbroken.

Osher Gunsberg has admitted to lying to Abbie Chatfield during the final of The Bachelor in 2019.

The 48-year-old Channel Ten star confessed that he “knew 100 percent” that suitor Matt Agnew would prefer Chelsie McLeod over her during the final episode.

“I lied to you, and it’s the most blatant and most intense lie I’ve ever told,” he told Abbie on her radio show. Warm nights with Abbie Chatfield.

“I think probably in all my years of reality TV, when you stood in front of me in South Africa, I knew 100 percent what was going to happen and I lied to your face.”

Osher further explained, “It’s the hardest part of my job covering up the truth in an incredibly emotional moment, and I looked you in the eye and said, ‘He’s excited to see you.'”

“I’m incredibly sorry that I lied to you at the time, I was doing it for the good of the show and for a lot of money.”
