Oprah Winfrey, when asked how she feels about President Joe Biden announcing he will run for re-election in 2024, objected when she left Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon.
Winfrey, who endorsed Biden in 2020 and has traditionally supported the Democrats despite her previous friendship with former President Donald Trump, was asked her opinion of the ad.
‘Come now!’ Apparently angry, Winfrey told the DailyMail.com cameras. “It just doesn’t happen,” she added, apparently indicating the answer to the question.
Winfrey was in Vegas to present a remake of The Color Purple, her breakout role, at Cinema Con.
She starred in the 1985 movie alongside Whoopi Goldberg and earned an Oscar nomination in the process. Winfrey is a producer on the new film, which screen adapts the 2005 Tony Award-winning musical.

Ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, Oprah spoke about the liberal candidates.
Sherry Beasley of North Carolina, Val Demings of Florida, Mandela Barnes of Wisconsin, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Beto O’Rourke of Texas, Raphael Warnock of Georgia and Stacey Abrams were among those with her support, all Democrats.
Perhaps most notably, she endorsed John Fetterman in his victorious campaign against her former protégé, Dr. Mehmet Oz, for the Pennsylvania Senate.
“If I had lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman, for many reasons,” she said before the vote.
Winfrey endorsed Biden in 2020, even participating in efforts to get the vote for a Democrat in his successful campaign against then-President Donald Trump.
She famously stayed out of a heated 2008 primary between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton before endorsing Obama over Sen. John McCain for president.
Winfrey endorsed Obama’s re-election in 2012 and Clinton’s losing campaign to Trump in 2016.
Oprah has been known to befriend Trump dating back to her time on television and is part of a book the president recently published.

The book, titled Letters to Trump, comes out on Tuesday and will keep readers coming back for almost no time $100 dollars.
In an interview Sunday, Trump detailed several other people included in the book, including Oprah Winfrey, who he said requested — and got — a business partner’s funeral at Mar-a-Lago.
He says Winfrey, like many celebrities, turned against the president when he entered politics.
“I had a great relationship with Oprah, and I had a great relationship with almost everyone,” he told Mark Levine. “But as soon as I got into politics — and I don’t mean I said something offensive, I mean literally as soon as I got into — I changed.”
One of the letters Winfrey wrote after Trump sent her an excerpt from his book The America We Deserve, published in 2000 before he became president. In the book, the former president wrote that his “first choice for vice president would be Oprah Winfrey.”
In the handwritten letter, Winfrey wrote: “Donald, I received an excerpt from the book. I have to tell you, your comments made me cry a little. It’s one thing to try to live with integrity – it’s still another thing for people like you to notice. Thank you, Oprah.
At the bottom of the letter first posted by Axios, the popular talk show host adds: “It is unfortunate that we are not running for office. What a team!’
Winfrey sent that message on CBS News With Pal Gayle King back in March.

The book includes a handwritten note from Oprah to Trump in January 2000 thanking him for acknowledging her integrity in a book he wrote at the time and suggesting that they run for public office together.
You may have thought about that at the time. I might have thought so 23 years ago. “I don’t think about that today.”
The book, which was published on Tuesday, will include letters from Hillary Clinton, Michael Jackson, former Senator Ted Kennedy and the late US golfer Arnold Palmer.
Last year, publisher Winning Team Publishing released Trump’s photo book, Our Journey Together. This book generated more than $20 million in sales in the first two months alone.
Sergio Gore, founder of Winning Team Publishing, told DailyMail.com: “What do presidents, royals, celebrities and business giants have in common? They all love Donald Trump.
Long before entering politics, Donald Trump lived an extraordinary life. No book highlights his iconic relationships like Letters to Trump, and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with our readers.
