Following the launch of the Nord, OnePlus is gearing up for the biennial update to its flagship line of phones. The company has announced that the OnePlus 8T will be unveiled worldwide on October 14. There are rumors that a OnePlus 8T Pro will not appear this time, and now a new leak may suggest why.
The company had confirmed the official launch date yesterday, and now leakers are suggesting that the upcoming flagship OnePlus 8T could be priced a whopping $ 100 higher compared to its predecessors that launched not long ago.
You choose it, I will do it. So here is my “ExClUsIvE” OnePlus 8T leak in Europe: 8/128: 799 € 12/256: 899 € Although I still have doubts but looking at the 7T 8/128 last year it was 100 € cheaper than the 7 Pro 8/128, this price leak makes sense. Also my … https://t.co/inVnykOSinSeptember 21, 2020
Leaked OnePlus 8T price
Citing the source that seems to be fairly certain about the price, the Vietnamese tipster Chun suggests that the European price of the 8GB / 128 variant of the OnePlus 8T could be set at 799 euros and the 12GB / 256 GB variant expected to be priced at 899 Euros. Since the price difference between OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T was also 100 euros, the tipster feels “sure” that this leak could be true.
As OnePlus phones are generally priced the same for different countries, but with a difference in currency. So if the leak is true, you can expect the US prices of OnePlus 8T to be $ 799 and $ 899 respectively for the 8GB / 128GB and 12GB / 256GB variants.
However, this logic does not work with Indian prices. Even converting the European prices to INR won’t make sense either, so we’ll have to be patient enough for a few more days to get a hint as to what the OnePlus 8T is going to cost here.
Specifications OnePlus 8T based on the rumors
Based on what we already know and the leaks and rumors, we can safely say that the OnePlus 8T can be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC and supports 5G connectivity as already confirmed by the brand. It is expected to come in two different variants based on storage and memory. The basic variant can come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the other has 12 GB of storage and 256 GB of internal storage.
The phone may come with a 6.55-inch full HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and the 32-megapixel front camera can be placed under a hole. On the back, the phone may have a quad camera setup with 48 megapixel primary shooter, 16 megapixel wide angle lens, 5 megapixel for macro shooting and a 2 megapixel portrait lens.
As always, these leaks are based on tipsters’ input from their “sources”, which are usually accurate, but we’ve had cases where companies surprised us on launch day. Therefore, I would suggest taking these as a reference only and with the proverbial pinch of salt.
