Keely Hodgkinson showed off some long legs in a distressed mini dress as she enjoyed a night out in Manchester on Friday, after revealing her season came to a premature end due to a knee injury.

The 22-year-old Olympic middle-distance runner looked incredible as she headed to Sexy Fish in a backless jersey dress by Ophidian Devore.

She showed off her athletic figure in the Jaded garment, which costs a reasonable £60, as she let her long, curly golden locks flow past her shoulders.

To add inches to her statuesque figure, the athlete, who won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, donned a pair of strappy gold heels.

To complement her look, she opted for simplicity, with a miniature white bag and gold bracelets.

His departure comes after he announced that his season was over following a knee injury in training.

The British star was due to compete in the 400m in Berlin on Sunday, his first competition since winning Olympic gold in the 800m in Paris two weeks ago.

Keely was due to compete at Diamond League meetings in Zurich and Brussels early next month.

But she won’t be competing again this year after suffering a minor setback in her return to the track following her brief post-Olympic break.

Mail Sport understands Keely has suffered a tear on the outside of her knee, a smaller version of the injury that ruled her out of the winter indoor season.

“I won’t be able to compete anymore,” Keely wrote on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I suffered a small injury, but we achieved everything I hoped for this year.”

“Thank you for all the love and support. See you on the track next year.”

Her coach Jenny Meadows added: “I’m disappointed I couldn’t finish things off in better style because I still have the energy and motivation for it, but it hasn’t been a bad season.”

Keely was unbeaten in the 800m this year, retaining her European title in Rome in June before winning her first world gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

She also lowered her British record to 1 minute 54.61 seconds, which puts her sixth on the all-time list.

Keely’s next big event could be the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, in March, followed by the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, later that month.
