She wrote in her post: ‘Last week was a big one for our Nora, crawling for the first time at 20 months.

“This has been a long journey for her, but she has the sweetest temperament and the loveliest way of taking on any challenge that comes her way; she is always so happy to see other children running around her and playing, and somehow so happy with any toy that is within her reach.

‘In fact, the only time he really gets frustrated is when he wants to come up to us and hug us ❤️. Seeing that all her months of hard work have paid off and how proud she is of herself is just the best ☺️!’

She continued, “I don’t think I’ll be the only one to say that parenting a baby on your own timeline can sometimes come with doubts and worries.”

‘There have been many times when I have wondered if I might be doing things wrong or worried about my ability to help Nora in the right way for her.

“I am so grateful to the NHS health visitors who visited and supported us, and made sure Nora was referred to everyone she needed to see, and to Nora’s lovely nursery for helping us with her physiotherapist on the days she is in .

“And of course, thanks to big sister Nell, who is Nora’s biggest cheerleader, she loves to cheer her up and has shown a lot of patience when we’re juggling both of our needs.”

She closed her post by saying: “I’m so proud of you our lovely Nora, the sky may be the limit but all in your own time and with a smile on your face.” That’s all we care about and we will always be here to help you find your way to wherever you want to go.’
