Olivia Dunne gave an update on her pending return to LSU for a fifth year in the NCAA

Olivia Dunne’s future in gymnastics is still up in the air as she revealed where she stands in terms of the sport.

Dunne, 21, concluded her senior season with LSU gymnastics as part of the program’s first NCAA national championship team in April.

In an interview with the New York Post, Dunne discussed his fifth-year NCAA eligibility. Additionally, she talked about competing in the Paris Olympics.

“So I’m eligible for a fifth year, which I haven’t decided yet,” he told the Post. “I’m thinking about it… But I do have eligibility (for another year at LSU).”

“I don’t think I’ll try to make the Olympics or anything like that after that, as I competed for Team USA once and closed that chapter and went to LSU.”

“The national championship, obviously, was the ultimate goal,” Dunne said. “It was the cherry on top of my senior year. “It’s great to be able to make history with my entire team.”

Dunne was one of four seniors on the Tigers team. His class is joined by Elena Arenas, Haleigh Bryant and Chase Brock.

Brock announced in May that he will practice his final year of eligibility. The same was true for Bryant, who was crowned the 2024 NCAA All-Around champion. The latter announced her return shortly after the team brought the trophy to Baton Rouge.
