A Kmart shopper is raving about the deal she got on her new apartment, and none of her friends believe her when she tells them where she comes from.

Annabelle, from Sydney, was furnishing her dream home with a mix of affordable and luxury items, but couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the arch rug from Kmart.

The large $119 design looked like versions worth thousands of dollars, was beautifully textured, and was intended to add a “sleek, contemporary look” to any living space.

And boy did he ever do it.

“After styling my living room with more expensive pieces, no one could believe the rug was from Kmart,” Annabelle told FEMAIL.

“It’s so soft and plush that you walk on it with bare feet and there are no pilling or loose hair at all.”

“There was also a spill, but it was very easy to clean with a standard carpet cleaning product.”

Annabelle said the mat arrived rolled up in a sturdy plastic cover and was lightweight and easy enough to fit in the car.

“They delivered it to my office three days after placing the order online,” he added.

The rug comes in medium ($89), large ($119) and extra large ($149) with sizes 180cm x 133cm, 235cm x 160cm and 270cm x 180cm.

The large size weighs no less than 9.39 kilograms.

‘I bought this rug for my bedroom and it fits perfectly under my bed. I’m obsessed with it, it’s beautiful, soft and modern. Excellent value for money,” praised one woman.

‘Looks exactly like the pictures online. I think it would be better suited for low traffic areas as it gets dirty easily. It’s great value for money though,” said another.

‘I really think it’s a great purchase. I love its softness and color.’
