Nicole Kidman was honored at the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award Gala in Los Angeles on Friday.
And her good friend Naomi Watts was on hand to congratulate her when Nicole took the stage.
Posting on Instagram Stories, Naomi shared a behind-the-scenes look at the moment Nicole claimed her prize.
‘What a night, what a woman,’ the actress captioned the short clip, which showed Nicole giving her speech.

Nicole completed the look with a matching gold watch and rings, as well as a pair of pointy black heels.
“Deeply touched by all the support I have been seeing and hearing from around the world,” she wrote on Instagram with a photo From Stage.

The Oscar winner was accompanied on the red carpet by her husband Keith Urban, who also paid tribute to his wife on Instagram.
“In a career that is still in full flight, tonight the @americanfilminstitute will honor my wife as the newest member of this extraordinary fraternity,” he captioned a photo by Kidman.
“Babygirl, I’m so proud of you, and as much as I may sound like the biased husband, I’ll let the list of past honorees speak for me,” Urban, 56, added. a list!’
The Grammy Award winner accessorized his wife in a classic black tuxedo with black creeper shoes.

Watts, 55, is Kidman’s childhood friend and her co-star in 1991’s Flirting.
The Australian actress hailed the AFI honor as being “beyond my wildest dreams” when she was announced as the winner last weekend.
“Receiving this award fills me with overwhelming gratitude,” he wrote at the time. “Being the first Australian to be honored in this way leaves me speechless.
Nicole added: ‘I grew up a suburban Sydney girl who just wanted to act; Having built a career doing what I love is a blessing beyond my dreams. “I thank the AFI for this incredible honor.”
She later shared a photo of herself in one of her first films, 1983’s Bush Christmas.
She arrived on the carpet in a baby blue long-sleeved Givenchy dress with long sleeves that left one shoulder bare.
