Nicole Kidman has revealed the last words her late mother Janelle said to her before her death in September.

The Australian actress, 57, spoke about her mother when she appeared on CBS Sunday Morning in the US over the weekend.

She said Janelle told her to “take care of yourself.”

“The last words my mom said to me, I was going to get on a plane, and she said, ‘Maybe wait a minute, because you just need to take care of yourself, Nicky,'” Nicole said.

The Hollywood actress said she has since taken her mother’s advice to heart.

‘I’m doing that more and telling other people in the world. Particularly women. I think we tend not to worry about ourselves. “We take care of everyone else, but the last person is here,” he said.

The Babygirl star added that her mother Janelle wasn’t the only woman in Nicole’s family giving sage advice.

‘My grandmother left me with ‘Be happy’ and my mother said ‘Take care of yourself’.’

It comes after it was reported that Nicole and Keith are considering returning to their native Australia after a very difficult year.

Following the death of her beloved mother in September, which saw her return to Sydney for the funeral, Nicole had a busy schedule traveling around the United States promoting her latest films and filming yet another project.

The star’s loved ones are said to be worried about Nicole suffering from “burnout” and Nicole and Keith are now reportedly considering returning to Australia.

“Nicole and Keith have had the worst year of her life, they’ve barely spent any time together and she’s been alone during some of her most distressing times,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“The big worry on everyone’s mind is: How much more of this can he take?”

Country singer Keith, 57, is said to be considering stopping touring to support Nicole after her 10-date Las Vegas residency ends in February.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Nicole’s representatives for comment.

Nicole recently joined her family, including her younger sister Antonia, in grief in Sydney as they all attended her mother Janelle’s funeral.

Janelle died at the age of 84 in September, just hours before Nicole received the Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

Nicole was supported by Keith and her two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, at her funeral.

Nicole and Keith own a sprawling 20-bedroom mansion in Nashville, which cost them $4.89 million, as well as a $6.77 million home in Beverly Hills and a $13.53 million designer duplex in Chelsea, New York.

They also still own property in Australia, including a $6.5 million farm in the Southern Highlands and two penthouses at Milson’s Point in Sydney, which they rent out.
