Nicho Hynes has been spotted enjoying brunch with new love interest Piper Wallis after it was revealed the Cronulla star is officially off the market.

Last week reports emerged that the 28-year-old was dating advertising specialist Piper Wallis, and the 23-year-old was spotted at Sharks games alongside Hynes’ mother Julie.

The star scrum-half is known for protecting his private life but was spotted strolling around Sydney with Wallis and friends on Sunday afternoon.

Wallis recently returned from a trip to Europe and posted a photo of Hynes enjoying her meal on her Instagram Story.

Hynes and midfield partner Braydon Trindall helped send Cronulla into the preliminary final following the Sharks’ win over the Cowboys this weekend.

The Sharks scrum-half admitted Friday’s win feels like a weight has been lifted off both his and Cronulla’s shoulders after failing to secure a win in either the 2022 or 2023 finals.

Cleary also knows what it feels like to have his performances questioned in big games.

While now a two-time Clive Churchill Medallist and the NRL’s best half-back, Cleary has had his State of Origin form questioned along with his ability to score tries in big games.

Something Hynes can relate to.

“My ego isn’t so big that I can’t ask my teammates for help,” Hynes said.

‘It’s just what you have to do in life, in this type of game and in this type of setting.

‘When you face challenges, you try to get help from someone who has been through something similar.

‘He had some challenges early in his career. It would be foolish not to try to build a relationship with someone like that.

‘Maybe I’ll text him this week to see if he has any advice.’
