Neymar threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Miami Marlins’ MLB season opener on Thursday, a day after going for drinks with David Beckham in the city.

The Brazilian star saw his shot caught by Marlins star Luis Arráez to loud applause at LoanDepot Park, and the forward greeted the crowd with a big smile and waving his finger in the air.

The Marlins even shared a video of Neymar’s visit on their X (Twitter) account and he also posed for a photo with Nick Gordon, Jazz Chisolm Jr and Arráez before their game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Brazilian is currently recovering from surgery to repair anterior cruciate ligaments and meniscus injuries in his left knee, an injury that rules him out of this summer’s Copa América, which is being held in the United States.

The 32-year-old’s appearance on the mound for the Marlins game came a day after he hung out with David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami.

Neymar was out with David Beckham in Miami on Wednesday night at a steakhouse.

On Thursday, Neymar threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Miami Marlins game.

The Brazilian star greeted the crowd after a warm welcome from Marlins fans.

Neymar also shared a photo with Victoria Beckham from his time in Miami.

The duo was tagged in a photo with David Grutman, the owner of several restaurants in Miami, including Gekko, where they spent Wednesday night.

Grecko, a Japanese steakhouse and sushi restaurant, is a celebrity hotspot in Miami. Owner Grutman appears to be a close friend of Beckham and is a regular at Miami’s Major League Soccer games.

While in town, Neymar could be tempted to reunite with his former Barcelona attackers Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, both of whom, of course, now play for Beckham’s team in Miami.

Together in Spain, the trio spearheaded Barcelona’s march to Champions League glory in 2015.

Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 and then returned to play with Messi – the Argentina World Cup winner spent two years in the French capital from 2021 before his successful move to MLS.

Neymar now plays for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and will move from Paris in 2023.

During his stay in Miami, Neymar also attended the Miami Heat NBA game on Tuesday night: they lost 113-92 to the Golden State Warriors.
