Many viewers criticized the guests for being rude, with one person writing, “If you can’t make it to a wedding, TELL THE HOSTS – it’s okay!” They save money with their caterer if you cancel! Do not lie!’

Other commentators sympathized with Gray, from the US, sharing similar horror stories from their great days.

Another person said the same thing happened to him and after estimating that 100 people would show up for his wedding day, only about 30 attended.

While a third social media user revealed, “It happened to my sister. We set the room for 80 and not even 30 showed up. We made the best of it but damn. I would never do that to anyone.’

Gray explained in the comments section that because so few people showed up for their nuptials, they were forced to cut short their “starlet broadcast, private dance, (the) dinner,[and]the whole reception.”

The DJ also ‘felt so bad (that) he let us use the photo booth I hadn’t touched and take pictures together’.

Gray added, “Our ceremony made me so happy, but when I looked into the chairs we had set up, I realized they were empty. I didn’t realize until… Been in tears for hours about this… I was so heartbroken.”

To make matters worse, they said they fell during the first dance and their mother “didn’t say a single word until my father forced her.”

After their marriage broke down, Gray said they “sat in the empty ceremony room and cried” with their new husband, Nyx.
