A lead star of Wednesday’s Netflix hit has been written out of the show as filming begins on season two.
The cast list was announced on Tuesday, and Jenna Ortega, 21, will return in the lead role after her surprising departure from another Netflix project.
However, fans will notice that Percy Hynes White, who played psychic student Xavier Thorpe in the first season, is absent from the list, following sexual misconduct allegations the actor faced and denied last year.
White’s departure comes after he faced sexual assault allegations last year after starring in the first season of the Addams Family spin-off series on Netflix and DailyMail.com exclusively reported that he was removed from the show.

The following September, DailyMail.com exclusively reported that he was kicked off the show after he was accused of purposely getting women drunk at a Toronto party he hosted so he could have sex with them.
In early 2023, White faced a series of sexual assault allegations, which he strongly denied as a “disinformation campaign.”
In June of last year, he issued a statement regarding anonymous social media posts deleted since last January.
In her impassioned post, she wrote: “Earlier this year, someone I had never met started a misinformation campaign about me online. Because of this, my family has been deceived and my friends have received death threats. Photographs of me as a minor were used and examples of me acting in characters were presented as hateful.

Other big names joining the show include Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Frances O’Connor in undisclosed roles.
While Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd also stars, having previously played Uncle Fester in The Addams Family and Addams Family Values.

Steve is an accomplished actor on both the big and small screen, having starred in the acclaimed HBO series Boardwalk Empire from 2010 to 2014.
