An ominous quartet of glowing lights above the United States Capitol building has some fearing that the alien invasion has finally arrived.
The photo – taken at night just outside Congress, with the Capitol Hill dome in full view – was taken by US Air Force veteran Dennis Diggins, who now works as a licensed tour guide in the Washington DC area, as well as professional tour guide. director.
The eerie triangular light formation that Diggins captured in his photo appears to float just a few feet above the “Statue of Liberty” at the top of the Capitol dome.
“That’s absolutely insane,” one onlooker said of the strange glowing orbs, which resembled landing lights on an alien craft.
The image comes just weeks after a pair of stunning public hearings in both the US Senate and House of Representatives, where lawmakers probed current and retired Pentagon officials about the state of intelligence on what used to be called “flying saucers.”
The House hearing included a first look at a bizarre, disturbing report alleging that an illegal “Unacknowledged Special Access Program” called “Immaculate Constellation” was set up to “detect, quarantine” UFO data out of public view to place and transfer’.
But while some clamored for video that could tie this new sighting to this broader UFO debate on the Hill, others pushed back on the speculative fury over these strange lights.

Bizarre, unidentified aircraft over Langley Air Force base – home to at least half the USAF fleet of stealth F-22 Raptor fighter jets (pictured) – led to two weeks of emergency meetings at the White House last year. This 17-day episode has put government officials on high alert about UFOs
Above, a military witness testifies that the drones display “flashing red, green and white lights.” This testimony was released through the US Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), along with 50 pages of Air Force data on the December 2023 wave of ‘drone swarms’ over Langley.
“The photo is clearly a glare from the camera lens from the street lamps below,” argued a former paranormal investigator who now goes by the nickname Average Chris. “Same distance, just reverse pattern.”
However, other eyewitnesses in the DC area believed they had captured similar UFOs on video that same evening, November 26, 2024.
“My partner and I saw a mix of multiple stationary/floating and slow-moving lights from the roof of her apartment in Washington DC,” said the anonymous witness who recorded this video. “It appears they are hovering over (Capitol) Hill, Navy Yard or south of there.”
The witness who posted the UFO video Redditstated that the ‘floating’ lights had been appearing for over a week, at least since November 15th.
A spokesperson responding on behalf of the Pentagon and its UFO hunting unit, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), told DailyMail.com that it has no idea what these UFOs over our nation’s capital could be.
“I have nothing for you on this,” Susan Gough of the Army’s Defense Press Operations said via email. “Have you contacted DC police or Arlington County police?”
While these recent cases over DC may have entirely ordinary causes, Pentagon officials and the U.S. intelligence community are nevertheless increasingly concerned about the disturbing emergence of “drone swarm” UFOs invading restricted U.S. airspace.
Senior ex-Pentagon security official Chris Mellon told DailyMail.com that a 17-day spate of UFO sightings over Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia was “part of a much larger pattern affecting numerous national security installations.”
“Two of the notable aspects,” he said, “are the fact that our drone signal jamming devices have proven ineffective and that these craft make no effort to remain hidden.”
“The photo is clearly a glare from the camera lens from the streetlights below,” argued the former paranormal investigator, who now goes by the nickname Average Chris. “Same distance, just reverse pattern.” He accused others on social media of promoting the photos because of their influence
Chris also accused UFO influencers of suppressing explanations for a citizen video that appears to depict UFOs swarming Washington DC (below). “From my post (above) it appears that these are commercial aircraft queuing up to land at the various airports in the area,” he noted.
“In some cases,” Mellon pointed out, “it’s even clear that they want to be seen as challenging us.”
And now dozens British forces in partnership with the United States Air Force (USAF) are spreading out in a bid to track down the parties responsible for yet more UFO swarms spotted over three air bases in England, amid fears it could all be linked to a ‘sinister’ plot.
The device, possibly unmanned drones, was spotted overnight over Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath base, RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk and RAF Feltwell in Norfolk, the USAF confirmed.
Although Lakenheath is technically an RAF base, it currently hosts mainly US aircraft and military personnel, officials noted.
A former British Army intelligence officer told DailyMail.com that these strange UFOs over England could possibly turn out to be a Russian spy agency, although US military sources say the UAVs ‘had not been identified as hostile’.
Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether the recent sightings in DC have any connection to the events over Langley, or to USAF operations in Britain.
Average Chris argued that the video posted to Reddit shows nothing other than “commercial aircraft lining up to land at the various airports in the area.”
But the witnesses who posted the video are still not convinced: “I don’t believe these are planes waiting to land at Reagan Airport, as many of them don’t appear to be moving at all, and we’ve been watching for a long time , maybe 15-20 minutes. minutes.’
“Some of the lights also seem to go on and off,” the witness continued.
“Can anyone rule out that these are police drones, military helicopters, balloons or other everyday technology?”
